Introduction

 

  • Duties and responsibilities
  • The office handles the annual budgeting and accounting process for the whole university and also provides statistics services. From the inception of the university until the fiscal year 1999, the university funds were managed in the form of an official budget. Starting in the year 2000, they were handled as non-profit funds.
  • Work Ethos
  • We aim to support the university’s education and research activities combined with a constant improvement and streamlining of administrative procedures to improve our work efficiency based on a spirit of service and financial transparency.  
  • Current developments
  • After the implementation of the university fund system, we have actively promoted the digitization of accounting processes and are currently in the process of formulating performance indicators in line with cost concepts to ensure greater efficiency in the use of funds.
  • Introduction of the University fund
  • Based on the Act Governing the Establishment of National University Funds and the Budget Law, the Ministry of Education has established special funds that are incorporated into the budgets of subordinate units in accordance with budgetary procedures to take account of the latest developments in higher education and improve educational achievements and quality standards. All expenses and revenues are incorporated into the funds in accordance with the law. Expenses and revenues and the management and use of the funds are handled by a management committee which shall be established by the university and supervised by the Budget Auditing Committee affiliated to the University Council. The university fund was established in July 1999 in accordance with instructions by the Ministry of Education.
